Schools
Speech and Language provision for schools is under pressure due to increasing need and reduced core provision from the NHS and Local Education Authority.

Some schools fund therapy time directly with an independent Speech and Language Therapist. This top-up allows for input with those pupils who don't meet the criteria but are most likely to make good progress with some direct work or indirect support via a Teaching Assistant. See below for guidance about commissioning therapy from an independent Speech and Language Therapist.
Tania works regularly with a few schools, including Walsh Memorial C. of E. Infant School and Ash Grange Nursery and Primary School. She has experience working in a wide range of settings and can offer either one off “assess and advice” visits, or regular therapy sessions, depending on need and budget. Working for a morning, afternoon or full day means she can charge a more affordable rate. The cost is £160 for a morning, £140 for an afternoon or £325 for a full day. This includes assessments, feedback and reports, along with liaison and sharing of resources.
Tania understands the challenges busy school staff face, and provides practical solutions for incorporating language and speech development into class activities and daily routines.
Tania can assess and write reports for EHCPs and annual reviews, as well as provide training for staff. The costs for these start at £ 160 for reports and £ 85 per hour for training.
Please contact Tania if you would like more information and a chance to discuss the needs within your school.
